In 1992, American society was going through a transition in a post-Cold War world. From that transition comes Joel Schumacher's Falling Down, a darkly comedic character study about an angry white middle-class man rampaging through Los Angeles trying to get to his daughter's birthday party and refusing to let anyone stand in his way.
