Arthouse Legends Podcast

Welcome to Arthouse Legends Podcast - Where High Art and Geek Culture Collide! The goal of this podcast is to take a look at critically acclaimed and well-received films and consider if these films truly deserve their revered status in the cultural zeitguest. Actor/comedian Kumail Nanjiani along with his wife Emily V. Gordon formulated a screenplay based loosely on their relationship which was made into a film called The Big Sick. Nanjiani stars as himself as he endures an awkward situation when his non-Pakistani ex-girlfriend is placed in a coma, leaving him to deal with her parents. The film garnered rave reviews and became an indie hit during the summer of 2017. But does the film deserve the acclaim or should it be taken off life support? MovieDude Eric, Kent and Chris find out.
