Arthouse Legends Podcast

Welcome to Arthouse Legends Podcast - Where High Art and Geek Culture Collide! The goal of this podcast is to take a look at critically acclaimed and well-received films and consider if these films truly deserve their revered status in the cultural zeitguest. Using our combined film knowledge, geeky obsessions and general fart jokes, we take a bite out of much-beloved films, sometimes in love, other times in scorn, but never out-of-bounds.

At the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, a little indie romantic comedy challenged critics and audiences alike called Secretary. The film follows a troubled young woman who gets a job as a secretary for an eccentric attorney that eventually brings out a disturbing side in both of them. Considered still to be one of the fairest look at BDSM, the film is a precursor to the Fifty Shades craze yet never found more than a small cult following. But does it deserve better or should it bend over and get a deserved punishment? MovieDude Eric, Kent and Chris find out.
